Namakkal is a city in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the headquarter town of the district of the same name Namakkal District. It boasts being the first municipality to get certified by ISO for environment management in entire Asia. The city has earned name for its sewage management, solid waste management, provision and management of water, town Planning etc. Namakkal is a famous tourist destination in south India.
