Kumbakonam Taluka is situated in Thanjavur district of southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. It lies 40 Kms. From Thanjavur and 275 Kms. from Chennai. Betel nuts produced here are graded as one of the finest in the world. Kumbakonam is well connected by roads and railways to all the cities of the state and the Nation. The nearest International Airport is Tiruchirapalli (100 Kms.) and nearest seaport is Nagapattinam (50 Kms.)
