Kawardha known for its Bhoramdeo temple is situated in Kabirdham district of Chattisgarh state of India. Earlier it was known as Kawardha district now the name is changed to Kabirdham district. The district is bounded by Dindori district to the North, Bilaspur and Durg district to the East, Rajnandgaon District to the South and Balaghat District to the West with North-Western parts sourrounded by Maikal Mountain ranges of Satpura Mountains.
