Karauli is a town of Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the administrative head quarter of the Karauli district. The city was established in 1348 AD and formerly known as Kalyanpuri after the name of local deity Kalyanji. City Palace is another interesting place of Karauli and one of the major tourist attractions of the city. Kalika Devi temple is one of them and it is situated about 30 km away from the Karauli. The temple attracts many pilgrims every year.
