Bhusawal is a municipal town in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, India. Located on the National Highway No.6, it is the biggest tehsil of Jalgaon district.
Bhusawal lies on the bank of the Tapi River. It is famous for Banana cultivation which is exported throughout the country. Famous Ajanta Caves, geographically which lies in Aurangabad district, is only 60 Kms (via Jamneer) from here. Shegaon which is famous for its temple is 120 Kms from here. Nasik, a famous Hindu pilgrimage center is about 3.5 hours journey from here.
Bhusawal is the central railways Divisional headquarter; it has very good railway connectivity to other parts of the country. Mumbai-Delhi Railway line and Mumbai-Kolkata Railway line split at Bhusawal. The railway network has a unique 90 degrees crossing (#) known as diamond crossing. Bhusawal has a loco shed and diesel shed for the maintenance of railway engines and coaches.
It also has a zonal railway training center. It has two Ordnance factories, Ordnance factory Bhusawal and Ordnance Factory Varangaon. Deepnagar Fekari is a thermal power station near Bhusawal which produces about 12% of the electricity requirement of Maharashtra state.

Jalgaon is situated at about 26 km from Bhusawal. Aurangabad is at about 164 km, and Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary (Madhya Pradesh) is at about 100 km by road. You can reach the city via Aurangabad airport or via Indore airport.
